I was involved in a car crash in April of 1999 and
that is when my spinal health took a turn for the worst.
For months my doctor prescribed pain killers which only
deadened the pain temporarily without fixing the real
problem. This went on for several years and my condition
seemed to get worse every day.
Just when I thought that I had tried everything I met Dr.
Cindy and April doing a free spinal screening at the mall.
When I met her that day at the mall I could hardly walk. I
had pain in my neck and back and also a pain that started
in my hip and shot all the way down to my heel, which
turned out to be a nerve problem. Dr. Cindy examined me
and said that I was a real mess and would need extensive
treatments. I agreed to let her help me and that was the
best thing I had ever done for my health.
After a few weeks of therapy my nerve problem was gone,
just like she said it would. It took several more weeks of
therapy for my neck and back because they were much more
serious problems. Without Dr. Cindy’s expertise I don’t
know what I would be doing today, since I use my back
every day to install cabinets. I would like to thank Dr.
Cindy and her staff for letting me get back to my normal
life.
Thank you,

continued.....
I began experiencing back pain approximately five years ago and as
it got progressively worse, it began limiting more and more of my
activities including golf and anything that required bending. I
could not rest well at night because of the nagging pain. I went to
two chiropractors and two physical therapist with no relief. To
complicate matters I had surgery in 2002 and had developed a frozen
shoulder. This condition made it difficult for me to even dress
myself without pain. Since my shoulder problem had not been
correctly diagnosed, no intervention worked.
In 2003, I was getting desperate. I contacted my insurance company
for a list of approved providers and called several offices. I made
my choice based on telephone interviews. Mrs. April Melasecca, who
runs the front office, was helpful, friendly and able to more than
adequately answer my questions. Dr. Hornback is always willing to
spend extra time if it is required. She is very knowledgeable,
always keeping informed of new development in her field. I found her
more skillful than any of the other practitioners I had gone to even
though they were much older. With age does not always come wisdom.
In addition to manipulation and the specific exercise that
Dr. Hornback provides, she has a neuromuscular massage
therapist on staff who provides an auxiliary service that
I have found beneficial. Both Dr. Hornback and the
neuromuscular massage therapist provide the very high
standard of care that this office is known for.
